Sensitive & reactive skin

The concept of “sensitive” skin, “reactive” skin corresponds to skin hyperreactivity.
This is a lowering of the skin's tolerance threshold at a given moment. It mainly concerns the face, more rarely the scalp, extremities or other parts of the body. Sensitive skin is very common, present in approximately 50% of women and 30% of men.

Sensitive skin is not a "type" of skin, but rather a condition of the epidermis. Thus, a person with dry or oily skin may very well have reactive skin at some point in their life.
